About
I am a photographer, designer, and feminist art researcher based in Shanghai.
Born in Jiangxi—one of the least gender-equal and most educationally under-resourced regions in China—I grew up with an acute sensitivity to how gender shapes opportunity and perception. I moved to Shanghai at the age of six, and the distance between these two worlds continues to inform my work.
Through photography, writing, and digital tools, I explore how women see and are seen, tracing visual narratives shaped by gender, migration, and everyday life in East Asia. My ongoing projects include Women’s Image Archive, Moon Letter, and Black & White Files, alongside experimental tools such as Image Listener, which aims to make visual culture more accessible and inclusive.

Projects
One part of my work is to tell stories — in image, text and voice.
Another part is to design tools — for seeing, describing and thinking.

A web-based visual aid that translates images into vivid, emotionally-aware descriptions, designed to help more people see what is usually unseen, including those with visual impairments.
A lightweight thinking board for iterative problem-solving — built to help creators articulate, prioritize, and refine ideas during real work, not just after.
